Rowan's preschool has a gymnastics element that really sets it apart from other preschools. I can take my kids outside to play (thanks very much I don't need to pay someone else $300 month for that.) However, you want to throw in gymnastics 3 times a week...well that I can't do myself. It has increased her confidence so much, and her strength--I really love her school for so many reasons, but today, I caught some pictures of the gymnastics!

Day 271--Lacking Inspiration = a dog
Whenever I run out of time, or forget or just am not really in the mood: its best just to snap a shot of one of my dogs. Here's Loofy the cat, sitting on top of the recliner:
Day 270--Kaylee's School Picture Day
Since it is always a crapshoot with Kaylee and pictures, I decided to try to take my own just before we got ready for thus bus:

Day 264--Cider Stand Fundraiser
My kids are part of the Kids Care Club which is part of my local MOMs Club. We did our first fundraiser today...and the money we raised will be used to buy supplies for our local animal shelter. The kids were involved with every step of the process. They made the signs, they made the baked goods, they poured the cider, they took the donations, they waved, they clapped. The donation jars were divided evenly between the 8 participating families. The kids will read the requested supply list, they will choose what they buy, they will pay for what they buy and next month we will tour the SPCA's facility and make our donations!
Day 259--Fix this Please
So I sent this to my sister as my first cry to hopefully have Leo's portrait be done by Christmas :)
Day 253--Random
This struck us as odd, so we took a photo:

Day 247--A word from our sponsors...
As some of you already know...last Monday my camera went kaput on me. In the middle of taking a ton of back-to-school pictures with friends the shutter just stopped releasing. I took this rather hard...I've been photographing my friend's kid's parties and now I wouldn't be able to shoot my own. Not to mention I was prepping for their back to school photos and their 4 and 6 year old shoots. I took it personally, I was mad (I still sort of am.) Anyway, there was nothing to be done and something has been rattling around in the lens for a while so I sent the whole thing in to be fixed (instead of just the body.) That was over a week ago, and I don't even have an estimate yet of what it might cost to fix it. I have been diligent in taking pictures every day with my point and shoot, but I am not sure how much longer I can really do that. We just bought a house and it takes a while for finances to recover, there have been a few extra expenses that have unexpectedly popped up as well. What I am saying is, depending on the cost I am not sure we will be able to fix the good camera. Without a DSLR to continue practicing what I've been slowly learning I really doubt I will continue to take pictures every day. I will keep you posted, but I am just trying to give you fair warning. For now, I will take out my little P&S every day and try (kinda) to keep up the pace at least until I know my camera's fate: hopefully in the next few days.

Day 245--A Mermaid Birthday Party
The girls had so much fun and I am fairly confident all of our guests did too. Happy Birthday to my 2 favorite girls in the whole world!
Day 241--First Day of School
Kaylee got ready to board the bus for her very first day of 1st grade. Where has the time gone.
Also when given a prop--Rowan can't resist hamming it up:)
