Day 179--A boxed life

So...I am pretty sure everyone is aware by now that we are moving in just 2 short days...so today, I took a picture of what our life looks like pretty much all boxed up. This is all in our basement now. There will be a few more boxes that join these in the next 24 hours, but this is the vast majority of it (besides furniture of course!) Yikes, I guess this is what my life looks like in boxes.

Day 178--Bye-bye Bird-Bath

This little guy is staying at this house...so I figured I'd take a couple of pictures, to remember him by. Bye-bye Bird-Bath :)

Day 177--Reading in a Tent

On this yucky rainy day...we headed to the library for some books...and found some quiet time to read together in a reading tent!

Day 176--When the sun (and/or a red tent) ruin your pictures...

Black and white...yup, that's what we do :) We went to an outdoor winter in summer birthday party today. (Our friend's birthday is December 28th, but rather than celebrate during the yucky winter months and battle everyone's holiday plans...he opted for a summer time half birthday party with a winter theme! Smart, and fun!)
Happy Birthday Bailey :)

Day 175--WTF?

OK, so I took over 1000 pictures on Saturday, June 23rd. This was a the quarterly launch at my gym and this was the 2nd time I got to photograph them. However, with it being move week, I just can't really even begin to sort through that mess. On the other hand, with it being move week I really don't want to get too behind on my blog so how happy was I when I went to download my photos and realized I had actually taken 2 pictures before I went to launch?!!? Very happy. Now don't get me wrong, there is certainly nothing special about this picture...it was just a weird egg/something on our swingset that I photographed to possibly later identify (yeah, right!) However, this means I don't have to sift through 1000+ Les Mills pictures in order to get caught up on my blog. So after a long-winded introduction, I ask you...WTF?
So, I promise you, with the 1000+ pictures I took, there are several that are going to be better than this, but now I won't get 2 or more weeks behind on my blog :)

Day 174--caught up!

It is only 7:20 and I am caught up. I took no time with this picture because I am literally exhausted. I spent all day packing (and made great progress) and I still plan to do more tonight. And tomorrow I will take so many photographs that I will get behind again so I really just didn't care about today's photo of the day. Still, I am starting to get better at bringing out the brindle, even in the low light and the unfortunate color of the couch.

Also, here's that silly little smile again, although she is really being insistent on having her picture taken whenever the camera is out these days...she was not my intended subject.

Day 173--My flowers

Thursday was another scorcher so before the sun was really up and strong (read: before 7am and yet still well into the 70s) I snuck out to photo the few flowers that continue to grow in my yard despite my best efforts to thwart them! They are pretty, if rebellious.

Day 172--So hot

Wednesday was so hot that we just bottled up the house to enjoy our dwindling days of central AC and did some packing and some crafting!

Day 171--The Beach

Had a blast at Salisbury beach today with some friends...so much fun...so many pictures...so much sand. Sand + Camera = not so much fun!

Day 170--Outside Time

Poor little Lion has not been getting any camera time lately, so I made sure he got some yesterday while outside...he loves his roller coaster...however check out the would-be scene stealer in the top left corner of some of his shots!

Kaylee still loves the roller coaster!

And Rowan now adopts this funky little smile when I point my lens at her...

Day 169--My superstar

I admit it, I am photog'd out! I barely mustered the energy to take this picture because she asked me to...and this was after ample Father's Day opportunities.

That being said, I want to with all the great dads I know out there a very Happy Dad's day, most of all: my husband the best daddy in the world; and my own father and my father-in-law who round out my top 3 :)

Day 168--Our wind chime!

This is our wind chime, right outside our side door! (See here's that nostalgia thing again--persistent lately!) Today was the girls recital, but since I still have so many pictures of the dress rehearsal to deal with, I decided to not make any of those my pictures of the day!

Day 167--Kaylee's Last Day of School!

Kaylee is officially a first grader!!! Her very last day of Kindergarten!

I know I probably won't get away with this again, but I had her wear the same thing to school as she did the first day, so I could get a really easy comparison of her physical growth :) Here's the first day 9 long months ago!

Day 166--More Babies on a Couch

3rd Baby Playgroup met for the last official time until the school year starts anew. Otherwise, our cozy little 5 baby playgroup becomes a 15 kid free-for-all with ages of 7months on up to 9 years!!!

Day 165--Sunset through the trees

This was one of those days that it was near 9 o'clock and I realized "ahhh crap I haven't taken a picture." So since the nostalgia was setting in...I've been taking more pictures of my house and the views from my house/street...so this was tonight's:
Sunset Through the Trees

Day 164--Rowan's Last Day of School!

Rowan had her last day of school yesterday, it was bitter sweet. She can't wait to return in September!

Day 163--Dress Rehearsal!

I took a ton of pictures of my kiddos and friend's kiddos at the dress rehearsal, and there are just too many to deal with and I don't want to get way behind again so, here are a couple that I really like, although not necessarily my favorite!

Day 162--The other rusty lantern

My husband doesn't know this yet, but I think I have pretty much decided that we're taking the rusty lanterns with us when we move. They came with the house and I had originally had no intention of taking them and I don't even really know where they will live, but they are just too fun to photograph...so they are coming!

Day 161--June 9th

I figure throwing a date in there every now and again will be a good thing.
I figure Rowan has been getting a lot of camera attention lately so it is ok to do a couple days in a row of my big little girl, especially since so she so infrequently is willing!

Also couldn't resist capturing this moment

Day 160--Kindergarten Graduation & Frogerella

So, Kaylee's Kindergarten class had a little graduation show today, it was so cute! When we got home, we caught/rescued a frog from the road and put him in our kiddie pool for a little while. We talked about frogs and let the kids explore as much as they wanted to. For Rowan that was admiring the frog from a safe distance (read: a good 2-3 feet.) For Kaylee it was a tentative touch on the back followed by an immediate request for hand sanitizer. For Leo it was literally attempting to get in the pool with the frog and when that failed a less satisfying full on splash fest with the little guy that we named Frogerella. Then a family walk a few doors down to the pond to set him free so he could be: living free and in the wild. Thank you Wild Kratts!

Day 159--Rowan's graduation!

Rowan had her preschool graduation and gymnastics recital today! She did so well, we love her school!
