Day 150--Daisy Bridge
My little Daisy
Kaylee and the other Kindergarten Daisies made a bridge so their First Grade friends could become Brownies :)
Day 149--Memorial Day
We celebrated the day by enjoying the freedom and fun and friendships that too many have died for. Though a barbecue has nothing to do with it...I still would like to thank all past, present and future soldiers and their families for what they have done and continue to do for this country. Freedom is never free.
This is our little friend Darcy, all dolled up in red, white & blue.
Once again, Lucy loves the camera!
A bunch of them climbed into the empty pool!
Too cute Caroline!
Day 148--Happy Birthday Grammy
Well these pictures have nothing to do with Grammy, although they were taken at her party.
This first one might be (one of) my favorite so far this year!

Day 147--a playdate with friends
Today we had some friends over...and so like I should be doing on any given occasion that I have access to other children...since that is who I'd like to photograph more officially someday, I took some pictures. I didn't pose anyone or ask anyone to do anything, I just got down on the ground with them outside and tried to get what I could without intruding.
First of my lil Ro because she...well, because she's Rowan
I have learned from a previous encounter that our friend Lucy just loves the camera...and, she did this time too.
I got a few nice pictures of Lucy's sister Cora too...this one I just futzed around in the editing software with, just because I never have tried the infrared filter or the HDR filter etc and I wanted to see what would happen, so I just did a whole bunch of the filters, some are kind of cool!
Cora was just having a blast running around in the grass and singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to herself in her super-sweet little voice. So cute!

Day 146--Running out of steam
Well all week, I've known that I had a lot of uploading, converting, compiling etc to do...and today, I really just knew I wanted to be done with it. I was running out of steam after a really long, long, long day--but luckily I remembered to take a pic before the kids went to bed--so without a ton of thought, I snapped a goodie of one of my favorite subjects and called it a day.
And now I am caught up...for now!
Day 145--"Ca"
Based on Leo's first word...you'd think we lived in Southie...
But there is something about a boy and his car...
Day 144--A Dr. Suess lesson
So it was not pretty out today...
So we read a book, Dr. Suess' "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish"
Then I whipped up some quick black & white drawings (which apparently I am not so bad at...sometimes) and I let the girls go to town with some paints!
Day 142--Ice Cream
A friend of ours was lucky enough to win the opportunity to host a Blue Bunny Ice Cream party...ice cream provided. And we were lucky enough to be their friends and score an invitation...the kids had a blast. I really should have taken more pictures...but Leo was having a tough time (he just doesn't understand ice cream yet) and then when I finally did get him occupied...my camera was held hostage by my position (ie if I had retrieved the camera, Leo would have been upset and I wouldn't be able to take pictures anyway) so I decided to just enjoy some time chatting with friends myself.
Day 141--a toy
In my mind (which was clearly not thinking very well that day) this light up ball was going to look SO COOL in a picture--because it has oscillates between red and blue glowing lights. However, obviously it didn't. I even slowed the shutter speed way down so I could capture both lights within the same shot--it didn't come out well. Still I sort of like this bleak little shot.

Day 140--Building Faerie Houses
Well, our workshop finally arrived. The girls had a blast...especially Kaylee! She painstakingly worked on details, like the pathway marked by alternating shells and mini-pinecones and the table set with Faerie Food.
Rowan had a great time too...although, she painted with a much broader brush!
And then there was the little Faerie House demolish-er...on the prowl!
Day 139--Swinging
He actually seemed to like the swing at this park--maybe we have a winner (as far as playgrounds go anyway)

Day 137--Lucky
I have a photo-friend who has some uncanny 'luck' finding 4-leaf clovers. I remember searching for hours as a child for an elusive 4-leafer among the clover patches that grew basically everywhere. I never found one. Although, what I remember as hours was more likely just minutes! But even into adulthood, I've believed that the elusive 4-leafers were just that, highly elusive. Well, not anymore. I've been in a personal little slump lately, and today I decided that I was going to find a 4-leaf clover and make my own luck! So with my mind made up to find my own lucky charm...I found 10. I am in charge of my own luck now ;)

Day 136--a pretty moth!
Considering what happened Saturday, I should travel with my camera bag...this little guy even sat still for a while...I totally would have had time to change lenses and screw on a filter (if my camera gear hadn't been inside and up 2 flights of stairs at the time.) Oh well, still sort of cool!
And now...all caught up!
Day 135--Collections for the Fae
On Saturday the girls will be partaking in a Fairy House building workshop. So we are going to be gathering supplies from nature this week(the Fae don't like most manmade things afterall)--rain or shine!
Day 134--Mother's Day at Canobie Lake
So, for Mother's Day we took the kids to an amusement park. They had fun and we got to meet up with friends for a while. Leo got to ride a lion on the carousel :)
Day 133--A butterfly for a little girl on her Communion day
Took lots and lots and lots of pictures on Saturday, which is part of the reason I got held up. To be honest, I haven't even really parced through them all. I did a quick run through though, and picked my first quick favorites.
Here is a little butterfly who came to offer Bridget some extra beauty on the day of her first Communion.
Not that she needed any extra beauty...check out this little sweetie pie!

Day 130--That's how we measure dessert
This is how we measure how much candy the girls can have for dessert.
Its good to know she'll already know how to use one...

Day 129--Babies on a Couch again!
My baby playgroup takes this picture whenever we are at Lyn's house in the rotation as a way to pseudo-document this amazing stage of growth. I love these kiddos, I love that we do these pictures!

Day 127--Another Day at the Playground!
We had a fun time today visiting my parents and the little playground that is just a little more than a stone's throw away from their home. The kids met some fast friends and I got some great pics, like this one, which I shall call: "There once was a girl, who had a little curl..."
And just for fun, here are some collages of my little cherubs having a blast on a beautiful day!

Day 126--Playground Day
We escape to a playground for a little while today!
Kaylee & Rowan had a blast on the super slide!
Leo was totally unimpressed with the playground's answer to a baby swing.
On the other hand, Rowan had a blast on the swings!
And just like that...I am caught up to date:)
Day 125--Gracie
I took lots and lots of pictures of our friends Gracie & Reagan yesterday, but in the interest in attempting to stay on track (read, current)--I am just going to post my favorite collage that I've gotten to so far, so I give you: Gracie
Don't be surprised if I come back later and post more from this little shoot!

Day 123--Crafts
Today was still pretty gross, and definitely still water-logged from yesterday, making outdoor play less than desirable. So while Leo slept, the girls did some crafts and very begrudgingly allowed me to take some pictures. Nothing great, but at least I used the camera.
And now, I am all caught up again!
Day 122--Rain Rain Go Away
Yesterday was a seriously yucky day, but by the end of the afternoon the raindrops had most ceased. So I went outside to see what I could find raindrops clinging to...
Day 121--Rocks!
So, towards the end of a busy day, I realized I hadn't really taken any pictures. With sunlight making a hasty retreat and rain imminent...I decided to take a picture of different rocks around my driveway. Not very original but fun to do with a 4x lens all the same. So here you go, 'Rocks.'
